About KidsRights UK

Who we are

KidsRights UK is the UK arm of KidsRights, an international organisation that works to promote the wellbeing of vulnerable children and advocate for the realisation of their rights. Through the same global network as the Netherlands-based KidsRights Foundation, we help fund and amplify the three pillars of that work – advocacy, research and action – from the UK.

KidsRights sees children as changemakers with the power to move the world, and facilitates in voicing their opinions and taking action in order to bring about change.

Our story

Founded in 2003 by Marc Dullaert, built on a simple belief: children and young people, given the platform and the means, can change the world themselves. Since then, that belief has grown into three global programmes — the International Children’s Peace Prize, the KidsRights Index, and State of Youth — working in over 70 countries.

KidsRights UK exists to bring that same mission to UK donors, partners and supporters.

"KidsRights gives a voice to the voiceless."

Our mission

KidsRights empowers young changemakers who are standing up for children’s rights and make a positive change.

Our vision

We believe in a world were every child knows their rights and can exercise them and reaches its full potential.

A world where children have a say, help make decisions and get involved in matters that affect them. We believe that children can move the world by bringing positive change bottom up in their community and beyond. We believe that by listening to them, give them a voice and empowering them, the world becomes a better place for the current generation and generation to come.
